One Joke, One Smile (2) – The Spelling Of ‘English’

When I was in my childhood at school, students had different spellings of ‘English’ which led to different occupations and positions after they went to society later.

Students who read ‘应给利息‘ became to be the governors of the banks.

Students who read ‘阴沟里洗‘ became to be the vegetable peddlers.

Students who read ‘因果联系‘ became to be the philosophers.

Students who read ‘硬改历史‘ became to be the politicians.

Students who read ‘英国里去‘ became to be the overseas Chinese.

While I read ‘应该累死‘ without care and at last I became to be a worker…

You are so hard working and wish us all a happy ‘May 1st’ International Labor Day!

小时侯上学,同学们对“English”的读法不同,导致走上社会后的从事的职业、职务也不尽相同:

读为应给利息的同学当了银行行长;

读为阴沟里洗的成了小菜贩子;

读为因果联系的成了哲学家;

读为硬改历史的成了政治家;

读为英国里去的成了海外华侨;

而我,不小心读成了应该累死,结果成了打工的……

工作辛苦了,祝大家五一国际劳动节快乐!

From the entry English的读法…. Thanks to the author.
